Being new to Arizona, i did not have an opportunity to find a dentist. Of course I woke up one morning with minimal pain in my gum and by afternoon my face was swollen and extremely painfful. I called Desert Cactus Dentistry and they were able to see me the next morning. From the moment I walked in the staff were very welcoming, the technicians were kind and gentle, and Dr O was terrific. Constantly trying to make sure I was not in pain while he did his work. Checking out went smooth. The women were very nice provided detailed information on the cost of the work I had done and the process to obtain a top denture. I am so happy to have been lucky enough to find a great dentist with a wonderful team. I will be going back to Dr O at Desert Cactus Dentristy and highly recommend you give them a try. Needed a new crown. The office staff helped explain how much it would cost, the technicians prepped me with X-rays and photos. Dr Richter took the old crown off and made what was left of the tooth ready for new crown. They have an inhouse lab so they made the crown while I relaxed. Fitted and secured the crown and I was done on about 3 hours total. Super professional and it feels great.

Today was my first time going to Desert Cactus Dentistry. I was amazed that nothing hurt at all. I only had a cleaning but sometimes they can be a bit rough but not today. Let me start by saying, I am terrified of the dentist. I have had dental issues my whole life and it has created a lot of fear and anxiety. Last night, I broke a molar and knew I couldn't put off being seen any longer. I found Desert Cactus through a Google search and saw all the fantastic reviews. I called first thing this morning, hoping I could maybe get in sometime next week. When I called they told me they could get me in right away, same day. I was scared, but headed in once I got off the phone. When I got there, I was greeted by a super friendly office staff member. It set the tone for the visit and calmed my nerves. I went back for my x-rays and a consultation. I met with Dr. Orzabal and he explained everything and went over a treatment plan with me. He was very kind and thorough. He checked my broken tooth and was very gentle. Throughout the visit I felt calm and at ease, which is not typical for me. I ended up needing a referral for a root canal, but I have a plan set up with Desert Cactus for my crown and next steps. Each person I encountered in the office was so kind and friendly. It really helped curb my dental anxiety. I highly recommend Desert Cactus, I will be sharing their name with my friends and family. 🙂

Had my 1st appointment at Desert Cactus Dentistry and was totally impressed. My hygienist, Brooke, was AMAZING and made the entire process very pleasant. The Dentist was very nice too and took time to explain to me what the potential issues are going on with my gums and teeth and showed me all of the images that they took so I could understand it. They provided a treatment plan with an affordable payment plan. I finally found a dentist here that I feel comfortable at and can trust. Can't wait for my next appointment in 6 months! Lol! Update!!!! I cannot underscore how TERRIBLE this place is. My veneer fell out 1,2,3,4,5,6 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. AFTER THE 3rd replacement my veneer started looking crooked and long??? I wish I could make this up but somehow the work that was done continued to get worse. Currently sitting at a new dentist. Not only do I need $2800 in work to fix what was done, my root canal has a cavity embedded from their work as well. Run! Do not even look at this place. Previous review: Wonderful staff and incredible dental services. As a new patient I had to reschedule my first appointment due to illness at the last minute and instead of being rude about it, they wished me to feel better. Wild. THEN - when I went in for my visit yesterday, she followed up asking if I felt better. Again, what?! They do a super comprehensive assessment of your teeth and give it to you straight. No judgement. No pressure to do any procedure. Seriously the best dental appointment I've ever had and, yeah. I've had braces twice. lol

They make sure you are well informed, comfortable, and calm. I will most definitely be sticking to this dentist office. Both dentists are OUTSTANDING and every interaction I had with any single person in this office was WONDERFUL. Everyone is so incredibly nice! EDIT: I went back in to get finished up, and everything was perfect again! OMG!!! Words cannot express how amazing this place is. I have a HUGE fear of the dentist and had to go back multiple times for different treatments. One including a root canal. It was very difficult for me to move from a dentist and a hygienist that I have had for over 15 years. I am a huge baby when it comes to my teeth or my mouth being touched. So, for the last 15 years I have had my gums numbed and/or have always had nitrous to ease my anxiety. I also thought that going to the dentist to have really nice teeth and healthy gums, every six months, meant that I needed to leave feeling in pain from a deep cleaning. All that has changed! From the moment I walked in until I left I felt as if I had been coming here forever. I was never once made to be feel as if I was a new patient. The front staff was friendly and helpful and greeted me with a smile as well as everybody else that came in and left. The hygienist assistant was friendly and gentle. My hygienist, Tara, is by far one of the most professional people I have met in the medical field in general. Tara took the time to explain every procedure she was about to do, stopping often to ensure I was not in pain and feeeing safe and comfortable. For the 1st time I did not need a needle in my mouth or nitrous, due to my anxiety issues. And I left with my teeth just as clean, no pain, and ready to come back in 6 months. I highly recommend Desert Dentistry in Surprise, AZ. for their professionalism, their state of the art facility, and a staff that includes their Dentists, who genuinely care about their patients’ well-being while at their office and educationally preparing them until the next visit. I became a patient a few weeks ago and from the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed. Dr. Orzabal cares a lot about making the patient comfortable and that really stood out to me. The assistants and front office staff are great. Melissa, the office manager, took the time to explain my treatment plan and all of my options so I get the best treatment possible. First went there last fall to have a crown replaced. There were some issues with the company that made the crown, but Dr O handled it and made sure everything was perfect before he put it in. I have had no trouble with the crown at all. Went back yesterday for a checkup and everyone was so nice and professional and I felt safe in this COVID environment. As a senior citizen, I was reluctant to go back to the dentist for teeth cleaning, because of the coronavirus. I went back finally because they provided information on the safety precautions that they had taken to protect patients and the dental personnel. I was referred to see Dr. Matthew Orzabal by my husband. I was very nervous as my last 2 experiences with dentist was aweful. From the moment I spoke to the receptionist on the phone my mind was at ease. I walked into an amazing office and was greeted immediately and taken back in a very timely manner. The tech was fantastic as she told me everything before it happened. I met with Dr. Orzabal who greeted me and told me the run down. After 4 hours at the office I was finally finished. Disappointed with Dr. Roelens who I’m told is newer to the practice. I had several fillings scheduled all in one visit but he would not complete them all. I asked why this was but he didn’t give a straight answer and apologized for the scheduling staff messing up. When I asked the scheduling staff they informed me there was plenty of time to do the full procedure. I even received a call the day before asking me to come in 20 minutes early which I thought was for more time to do the full procedure. Now I have to schedule more time to do the rest. In general I do recommend this office for dental care. The staff here has always been great, dental cleanings are done very well and Dr. Roelens did good work. I’m just disappointed that he didn’t follow through on the full procedure and didn’t provide a reason. I don’t trust him now and expect better from a professional.

I was having wisdom tooth pain, I called and got an appt on the same day. I saw Dr. Matthew Orzabal, he looked at my XR's, did a quick examination and sent me to a specialist. The experience was fast and friendly. No one lectured me about my cavities that I know I have, they did not pressure me to get a cleaning that day, nor did they pressure me to come back. I like that, and I appreciated that. I got a cool goody bag. I had such a good experience that I referred my boyfriend to go when he was having EXTREME dental pain. (He hates the dentist) He went in for a same day walk in appt, got his XR's taken, and he was also seen by Dr. Matthew Orzabal. He went in on a Thursday and his swelling was so bad from the tooth pain that they had him come back on the following Monday for the extraction. He had the extraction, everything went well, and my boyfriend was very pleased with the office atmosphere/experience. We are both very pleased with this office and will be returning for future needs/cleanings.

Absolutely the best dental experience I've ever encountered in 59 years. The staff was extremely friendly and 100% compent. My very 1st appointment took 2 1/2 hours (I only spent maybe 5 minutes of that time in the waiting room. Extremely thorough exam, xrays and photographs of each and every tooth. I was then met by a wonderful, fun lady who specializes in Periodontics. She did her exam and was very informative . She completed her exam and told me the Doctor will be in shorty. No more than a minute later I had the pleasure to meet Dr.Darren Line. Turns out we went to the same colleges, Loyola University Chicago and Northwestern, Evanston, Il. Apparently Dr. Line was a very serious academic scholar, where my position was more "Entertainment" focused. After the disaster of 2007 / 2008, I could afford a lot of things like going to the dentist on a regular basis. Please never make that mistake. I've NEVER looked forward to going to the dentist, but that's now changed. I've left a few reviews over the year. Both negative to outstanding like this one. Feel free to contact me at anytime to verify my review. Or stop by Desert Dentistry, you might find me lounging in one of their extremely comfortable chair remote in hand watching whatever on each rooms 40"+ HD monitors. To remain 100% honest I did receive a small ,"goodies" bags when I left, a new toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. In no way did I nor would I accept any sort of compensation nor would I accept anything in return for simply telling the truth. I've unfortunately read that many Google "reviews" are done by compensated "humans" or e-bots. Pitiful. Thank you for the opportunity to leave my feedback.

I had an abscess that I had gone to urgent care for in the middle of the night. The pain was excruciating. The day after finishing those antibiotics the pain was beginning to come back. You know in Willy Wonka where before they enter the Chocolate Factory they're in a seemingly non-interesting room then suddenly Wonka opens the door to the Factory itself and it's amazing? Yeah, the waiting room was like that. Great facility, quite incredible actually and the staff was above and beyond. I was constantly checked in on, asked if I needed anything like water and felt taken care of. My dentist was Jerome Triolo and I appreciated his straightforward no-nonsense. Told me his opinion, listened in great detail to my concerns and addressed them thoroughly. I can't say how much I also appreciate a friendly staff, they were all wonderful.

I felt welcomed the second I walked in the door, Alysia the lady at the front desk was very friendly and had a great attitude. Dr Patel was the Dr who performed the surgery. I felt very comfortable around her, she was very positive and she seemed to really know what she was doing . The surgery went well it was not as painful as I anticipated. After my feelings were complete I then spoke with Lou, the office manager. She was very easy going. She had a good way of breaking down the financial situation and helped me come up with an efficient plan that worked for my means. I definitely recommend this place they will take care of you!

My family has been coming here for the last 4 or 5 years (not sure how many now). The staff is great and courteous. And all the dentists are knowledgeable. I am very picky about who touches my teeth as dentists usually give me quite a bit of anxiety...while I still have anxiety, I feel confident in their care. I also like that they don't push me into things or try to "sell" me things I don't want. I have had a cracked front tooth for over 20 years and another dentist (at a different company) was pushing me into getting veneers for my front teeth!!! Unless I point out my crack to people every day, they don't see it and the tooth itself is very healthy. The staff at Desert Dentistry has not tried to force anything on me. They ask if I am happy with my smile and only make suggestions if I am not.

I was looking for a new dentist in the area. Came here during my lunch break for a routine teeth cleaning appointment. The office looked nice and new on the inside with flat screen TVs in every room and an internet cafe in the waiting area. The staff was very friendly and I was taken back super quick to see the hygienist. The hygienist took some xrays and did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was very gentle and I didn't feel any discomfort. I felt more clean than other dentists I've been to. After the cleaning, Dr. Patel came in to see me. She looked at my teeth and xrays and showed me 2 cavities that needed to be addressed. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain what each step involved. Dr. Patel gave me 2 fillings and both felt great afterward. The whole visit was over in less than an hour and I was back at work in no time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel and the staff at Desert Dentistry to handle your dental needs.

The staff is so helpful and focused on getting me the best smile I can get. Everyone I interact with there is great. I have gone for a cleaning, for fillings, and am currently in the process of getting two implants put in there. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Being new to Arizona, i did not have an opportunity to find a dentist. Of course I woke up one morning with minimal pain in my gum and by afternoon my face was swollen and extremely painfful. I called Desert Cactus Dentistry and they were able to see me the next morning. From the moment I walked in the staff were very welcoming, the technicians were kind and gentle, and Dr O was terrific. Constantly trying to make sure I was not in pain while he did his work. Checking out went smooth. The women were very nice provided detailed information on the cost of the work I had done and the process to obtain a top denture. Needed a new crown. The office staff helped explain how much it would cost, the technicians prepped me with X-rays and photos. Dr Richter took the old crown off and made what was left of the tooth ready for new crown. They have an inhouse lab so they made the crown while I relaxed. Fitted and secured the crown and I was done on about 3 hours total. Super professional and it feels great.

Let me start by saying, I am terrified of the dentist. I have had dental issues my whole life and it has created a lot of fear and anxiety. Last night, I broke a molar and knew I couldn't put off being seen any longer. I found Desert Cactus through a Google search and saw all the fantastic reviews. I called first thing this morning, hoping I could maybe get in sometime next week. When I called they told me they could get me in right away, same day. I was scared, but headed in once I got off the phone. When I got there, I was greeted by a super friendly office staff member. It set the tone for the visit and calmed my nerves. I went back for my x-rays and a consultation. I met with Dr. Orzabal and he explained everything and went over a treatment plan with me. He was very kind and thorough. He checked my broken tooth and was very gentle. Throughout the visit I felt calm and at ease, which is not typical for me. I ended up needing a referral for a root canal, but I have a plan set up with Desert Cactus for my crown and next steps. Each person I encountered in the office was so kind and friendly. It really helped curb my dental anxiety. I highly recommend Desert Cactus, I will be sharing their name with my friends and family. 🙂

Update!!!! I cannot underscore how TERRIBLE this place is. My veneer fell out 1,2,3,4,5,6 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. AFTER THE 3rd replacement my veneer started looking crooked and long??? I wish I could make this up but somehow the work that was done continued to get worse. Currently sitting at a new dentist. Not only do I need $2800 in work to fix what was done, my root canal has a cavity embedded from their work as well. Run! Do not even look at this place. Previous review: Wonderful staff and incredible dental services. As a new patient I had to reschedule my first appointment due to illness at the last minute and instead of being rude about it, they wished me to feel better. Wild. THEN - when I went in for my visit yesterday, she followed up asking if I felt better. Again, what?! They do a super comprehensive assessment of your teeth and give it to you straight. No judgement. No pressure to do any procedure. Seriously the best dental appointment I've ever had and, yeah. I've had braces twice. lol

They make sure you are well informed, comfortable, and calm. I will most definitely be sticking to this dentist office. All of the employees are great, my hygienist Tara is always amazing, and Dr. O is very knowledgeable and takes time to listen to any of my concerns. I'll admit, I initially had anxiety my first couple of visits. However everyone there is so friendly and easy to talk to that they really put me at ease. They were also able to fix all of the issues I was having with my teeth. Now I love going for my semi annual check ups and cleanings because my mouth always feels amazing afterwards. It's hard for me to believe, but for the first time in my life, I actually look forward to going to the dentist! I came to Desert Cactus Dentistry with a broken tooth as a new patient with no appointment and was pleasantly surprised and relieved when I was told that they could take a look at it immediately. OMG!!! Words cannot express how amazing this place is. I have a HUGE fear of the dentist and had to go back multiple times for different treatments. One including a root canal. Not once did I come across a person who wasn’t kind, happy, smiling, or anything negative. I was truly treated like family EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!! I would have a severe panic attack and they would comfort me and reassure me that it was normal and I wasn’t alone. They would laugh with me and completely calmed all my nerves and explained everything throughly so I understood what was happening. A HUGE shout out to Dr. B! It was very difficult for me to move from a dentist and a hygienist that I have had for over 15 years. I am a huge baby when it comes to my teeth or my mouth being touched. So, for the last 15 years I have had my gums numbed and/or have always had nitrous to ease my anxiety. I also thought that going to the dentist to have really nice teeth and healthy gums, every six months, meant that I needed to leave feeling in pain from a deep cleaning. All that has changed! From the moment I walked in until I left I felt as if I had been coming here forever. I was never once made to be feel as if I was a new patient. The front staff was friendly and helpful and greeted me with a smile as well as everybody else that came in and left. The hygienist assistant was friendly and gentle. My hygienist, Tara, is by far one of the most professional people I have met in the medical field in general. Tara took the time to explain every procedure she was about to do, stopping often to ensure I was not in pain and feeeing safe and comfortable. For the 1st time I did not need a needle in my mouth or nitrous, due to my anxiety issues. And I left with my teeth just as clean, no pain, and ready to come back in 6 months. I highly recommend Desert Dentistry in Surprise, AZ. for their professionalism, their state of the art facility, and a staff that includes their Dentists, who genuinely care about their patients’ well-being while at their office and educationally preparing them until the next visit. Oh! I l got cold while in there (nerves) and they brought me a comfy, plushy blanket. I wish I could add an extra star.

First went there last fall to have a crown replaced. There were some issues with the company that made the crown, but Dr O handled it and made sure everything was perfect before he put it in. I have had no trouble with the crown at all. Went back yesterday for a checkup and everyone was so nice and professional and I felt safe in this COVID environment. As a senior citizen, I was reluctant to go back to the dentist for teeth cleaning, because of the coronavirus. I went back finally because they provided information on the safety precautions that they had taken to protect patients and the dental personnel. I found that they had made dramatic changes to prevent transmission of the virus during dental procedures. I was sufficiently reassured that I scheduled another procedure for next week.

The tech was fantastic as she told me everything before it happened. I met with Dr. Orzabal who greeted me and told me the run down. After 4 hours at the office I was finally finished. She explained everything perfectly and I was such at ease. I completed all my treatment and now I just started Invisalign 🙂 This office by far was the best experience I have ever had a dental office. Disappointed with Dr. Roelens who I’m told is newer to the practice. I had several fillings scheduled all in one visit but he would not complete them all. I asked why this was but he didn’t give a straight answer and apologized for the scheduling staff messing up. When I asked the scheduling staff they informed me there was plenty of time to do the full procedure. I even received a call the day before asking me to come in 20 minutes early which I thought was for more time to do the full procedure. Now I have to schedule more time to do the rest. In general I do recommend this office for dental care. The staff here has always been great, dental cleanings are done very well and Dr. Roelens did good work. I’m just disappointed that he didn’t follow through on the full procedure and didn’t provide a reason. I don’t trust him now and expect better from a professional.

I was having wisdom tooth pain, I called and got an appt on the same day. I saw Dr. Matthew Orzabal, he looked at my XR's, did a quick examination and sent me to a specialist. The experience was fast and friendly. No one lectured me about my cavities that I know I have, they did not pressure me to get a cleaning that day, nor did they pressure me to come back. I like that, and I appreciated that. I got a cool goody bag. I had such a good experience that I referred my boyfriend to go when he was having EXTREME dental pain. (He hates the dentist) He went in for a same day walk in appt, got his XR's taken, and he was also seen by Dr. Matthew Orzabal. He went in on a Thursday and his swelling was so bad from the tooth pain that they had him come back on the following Monday for the extraction. He had the extraction, everything went well, and my boyfriend was very pleased with the office atmosphere/experience. We are both very pleased with this office and will be returning for future needs/cleanings.

Dr. Parker Mitchell was incredible. You will not be disappointed, I almost fell asleep because of how smooth my root canal went. I’m absolutely serious and I was very shocked myself at myself almost nodding off while he and his assistant were working on my mouth, it was very fun to say the least. Absolutely the best dental experience I've ever encountered in 59 years. The staff was extremely friendly and 100% compent. My very 1st appointment took 2 1/2 hours (I only spent maybe 5 minutes of that time in the waiting room. Extremely thorough exam, xrays and photographs of each and every tooth. I was then met by a wonderful, fun lady who specializes in Periodontics. She did her exam and was very informative . She completed her exam and told me the Doctor will be in shorty. No more than a minute later I had the pleasure to meet Dr.Darren Line. Turns out we went to the same colleges, Loyola University Chicago and Northwestern, Evanston, Il. Apparently Dr. Line was a very serious academic scholar, where my position was more "Entertainment" focused. After the disaster of 2007 / 2008, I could afford a lot of things like going to the dentist on a regular basis. Please never make that mistake. I've NEVER looked forward to going to the dentist, but that's now changed. I've left a few reviews over the year. Both negative to outstanding like this one. Feel free to contact me at anytime to verify my review. Or stop by Desert Dentistry, you might find me lounging in one of their extremely comfortable chair remote in hand watching whatever on each rooms 40"+ HD monitors. To remain 100% honest I did receive a small ,"goodies" bags when I left, a new toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. In no way did I nor would I accept any sort of compensation nor would I accept anything in return for simply telling the truth. I've unfortunately read that many Google "reviews" are done by compensated "humans" or e-bots. Pitiful. Thank you for the opportunity to leave my feedback.

You know in Willy Wonka where before they enter the Chocolate Factory they're in a seemingly non-interesting room then suddenly Wonka opens the door to the Factory itself and it's amazing? Yeah, the waiting room was like that. Great facility, quite incredible actually and the staff was above and beyond. I was constantly checked in on, asked if I needed anything like water and felt taken care of. My dentist was Jerome Triolo and I appreciated his straightforward no-nonsense. So I haven't been to the dentist in years and finally worked up the courage to come in today.....everyone from the front desk to the assistants, dentist and hygienist were all wondeful!!! They knew I was nervous and were very comforting through the extractions and cleaning! I love how they give you a tour of the place and even a welcome new patient gift...I will be coming back regularly as the staff here is just as amazing as I read through the reviews!

Great experience with this office. Went in to get feelings done. I was nervous about going in not knowing what to expect. I felt welcomed the second I walked in the door, Alysia the lady at the front desk was very friendly and had a great attitude. Dr Patel was the Dr who performed the surgery. I felt very comfortable around her, she was very positive and she seemed to really know what she was doing . The surgery went well it was not as painful as I anticipated. After my feelings were complete I then spoke with Lou, the office manager. She was very easy going. She had a good way of breaking down the financial situation and helped me come up with an efficient plan that worked for my means. I definitely recommend this place they will take care of you!

My sister and I recently moved to Surprise and we both needed a dentist. We loved our old dentist office and didn't think there was any place better but we were wrong. Everyone at this office is wonderful. They are friendly, explain everything and even if you have a ton of questions like I did they never make you feel like you are an inconvenience. My family has been coming here for the last 4 or 5 years (not sure how many now). The staff is great and courteous. And all the dentists are knowledgeable. I am very picky about who touches my teeth as dentists usually give me quite a bit of anxiety...while I still have anxiety, I feel confident in their care. I also like that they don't push me into things or try to "sell" me things I don't want. I have had a cracked front tooth for over 20 years and another dentist (at a different company) was pushing me into getting veneers for my front teeth!!! Unless I point out my crack to people every day, they don't see it and the tooth itself is very healthy. The staff at Desert Dentistry has not tried to force anything on me. They ask if I am happy with my smile and only make suggestions if I am not.

I was looking for a new dentist in the area. Came here during my lunch break for a routine teeth cleaning appointment. The office looked nice and new on the inside with flat screen TVs in every room and an internet cafe in the waiting area. The staff was very friendly and I was taken back super quick to see the hygienist. The hygienist took some xrays and did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was very gentle and I didn't feel any discomfort. I felt more clean than other dentists I've been to. After the cleaning, Dr. Patel came in to see me. She looked at my teeth and xrays and showed me 2 cavities that needed to be addressed. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain what each step involved. Dr. Patel gave me 2 fillings and both felt great afterward. The whole visit was over in less than an hour and I was back at work in no time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Patel and the staff at Desert Dentistry to handle your dental needs.

As a new patient, I was able to schedule my first appointment conveniently. When I first walked in, I was greeted with smiles, as well as throughout the entire appointment. In my 60+ years, I've been to a lot of dentists and this has been the first time that taking xrays didn't bother my small mouth (thank you dental assistant!) My cleaning was a breeze (thank you dental hygienist!) Upon leaving, I had a very pleasant chat with the treatment coordinator (thank you for your kindness!). As I rounded the corner to leave, I was once again showered with smiles from the receptionist. When all staff members are this happy to be at work, you know you're in a great hands!

It is always nerve wracking for me to come to the dentist for an appointment, but when I leave Desert Dentistry, I have a smile on my face. The staff is so helpful and focused on getting me the best smile I can get. Everyone I interact with there is great.
